Sevenoaks House forms part of a new development of three large houses designed by Phillips Tracey Architects as a contemporary interpretation of the Arts and Crafts style.
The houses are articulated with robust masonary walls and a steeply pitched clay-tiled roof, anchored by substantial brick chimneys and buttressing.
The house plans follow an Arts and Crafts tradition referencing Baillie-Scott in particular.
A contemporary take on the traditional style to the interiors is adopted – for instance exposed brickwork and crisp oak joinery in the entrance hallways, or the simple fireplace openings and expressed timber ceilings of the main living spaces.
